TOHO has officially announced the theatrical release dates for Godzilla Minus Zero, the sequel to the film Godzilla Minus One that a lot of people are really looking forward to. Godzilla Minus One was a deal because it won an Oscar. The new Godzilla Minus Zero movie is going to be in theaters in Japan on November 3 2026. Then it will come to North America on November 6 2026. This is of a big deal, for the Godzilla franchise because it is coming out in the same week in both places, which does not happen very often.
The movie keeps TOHO going strong after Godzilla Minus One did well all around the world. This film was made without spending much money but it still made a lot of money. Over 113 million dollars everywhere. It also helped the Godzilla franchise win its Academy Award for the best special effects.
Takashi Yamazaki is back to work on Godzilla Minus Zero. He is the director and the person who writes the screenplays. Takashi Yamazaki also takes care of the effects. This is news because people really liked the last film he worked on. They liked the way the story was told. The special effects were really cool. Godzilla Minus Zero will probably be just as good because Takashi Yamazaki is, in charge again.
The people behind the movie have not told us what the story is about or who will be in it.. Toho did put out a new poster when they said when the movie will come out. This picture is getting a lot of talk from fans of the movie. However the studio has not said what the story will be about or if there will be monsters in the TOHO movie sequel. The people at ROBOT are making the part of the story. They are working with SHIROGUMI Inc. To make the visuals look really good. This is not the time they are working together. They did a great job last time and even won an Oscar for the franchise. The company that will help get this part to people, in North America is still GKIDS.
